HELP BEFORE MATCH DAY

Questions Before You Join?

Start here for account access, team planning, and what stays private.

Joining Your Team

What happens after I create an account?

Complete the guided setup and choose how your profile appears. New accounts start as guests. Enter a team invitation code to receive the team access assigned by the person who invited you; creating an account alone does not grant staff permissions.

How do I join a team or add another team?

Ask your captain or manager for a team code. Enter it during setup, or open Teams and choose Join Team. Joining another team keeps your existing memberships, and you can switch the team you are viewing in the app.

What can friends, family, and guests see?

Guests can follow supported team updates, event information, results, and rosters. Private team concerns, internal notes, team availability, and map pools are reserved for the appropriate team roles.

Planning Your Week

Do I need to enter availability for every team?

No. Your weekly availability is shared across your teams. Select the half-hour time slots you can play and save your changes to return to the team view. Time slots use Eastern Time.

How are suggested practice times chosen?

Suggestions compare the schedules players have saved and show who is available for each window. Missing schedules are unknown, rather than a promise that someone is free. Review the player breakdown before proposing a session.

Is an RSVP the same as attendance?

No. An RSVP tells your team whether you plan to attend. Authorized staff record actual attendance separately, including substitutes, so attendance history reflects what happened.

Which event types can we schedule?

Use Practice for scrims and training, Match for competition, and VOD Review for reviewing gameplay. Admins and game managers can also create an Esports Event across teams and games.

How do reminders and notification preferences work?

Open the notification bell, then Preferences. Choose a reminder lead time or turn reminders off, and decide whether to receive schedule updates. These are in-site notifications; a Discord bot is not required.

Profiles, Privacy, and Review

Will my real name appear on public rosters?

Public rosters prioritize your username. Real-name display is optional in your profile settings, so review that choice before sharing your profile.

Who can read a team concern?

Concerns are private conversations between the person who submits them and authorized staff. They are separate from shared team notes and support replies, editing, and closing a conversation.

What can we keep in Notes?

Keep review notes, opponent scouting, map-specific plans, and hero compositions together. The editor supports formatted text and attachments, including links, images, and video links.

Does Workshop Analysis upload my raw log?

Supported Workshop logs are analyzed locally in your browser. Import a compatible log file to inspect the session; a replay code alone is not a log. Sharing an analysis summary with your team is a separate action.

Does EsportsHub replace NECC match check-in?

No. Captains still complete check-in through NECC. EsportsHub keeps relevant match links and preparation information alongside the team schedule.
